Dear Graduating Seniors,

We are excited to invite you to apply for one of our scholarships offered from three of our parish organizations: the St. Francis Knights of Columbus, Ladies Auxiliary and Women of St. Francis. We are very excited to open the invitation to ALL high school senior students to apply for scholarships!

It is our hope that the scholarship will alleviate some financial burden so that students can continue their spiritual growth in college, trade or technical school. The Knights of Columbus will be awarding two (2) $1,000 General Scholarships and one (1) $1,000 Scholarship for a Columbian Squire. The Ladies Auxiliary will be awarding two (2) $1,000 General Scholarships and one (1) $1,000 Scholarship for a Squire Rose. The Knights' scholarships will be for eligible high school senior boys and the Ladies' scholarships will be for eligible high school senior girls. The Women of St. Francis will be awarding three (3) $1,000 General Scholarships.

We are continuing the practice where ALL high school seniors whose families are registered members of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church are eligible to apply for a scholarship from our organizations. This means that students from ANY school district, private school or home school are eligible to apply so long as they are members of registered families of the parish.

Students may submit two (2) applications: one (1) for the Knights/Ladies' scholarship and one (1) for Women of St. Francis scholarship. Please use the SAME application, but make two (2) copies, answer the appropriate essay questions for EACH scholarship, and submit in SEPARATE envelopes labeled with the specific scholarship.

The application should be completed and returned/postmarked no later than March 31, 2023. Please review the application(s) completely and remember to submit your application(s) with all required materials and documents. Carefully answer all questions and review your application(s) and essays prior to submission. Remember that your application(s) is/are being compared to others to determine a winner. Any sections without answers will receive no credit, so make sure all sections have answers.

TIMELINE:

• January 1st - Applications available ONLINE
• March 1st - Application available online and at church office
• March 31st - Application deadline (ALL applications must be postmarked March 31, 2023)
• May 2023 - Winners announced at 7:00pm Graduation Mass & Reception (exact time TBD)
